I know this is a serious subject but I can't stop laughing, reading about professional 'cleansers' who charge widows $50 to have sex with them. And this in a country where people live on less than $1 a day! How are these charlatans allowed to operate? Seodi, keep up the fight!
This was definitely a myth conjured up by men, duping vulnerable women into believing they need to be cleansed. In some way it is reminscent of the practise of widows being given to their husband's brothers or fathers - which I believe had a function of ensuring widows and their children remained protected within a family. But sexual cleansing at $50 a pop? That's a conman's business!
