Great advice. Getting hands-on is the best way to develop skills, and in the tech and engineering worlds, nothing beats the value of a prototype early on in the process. Does it work, does it work the way I expected it to, and does the way it works matter enough to somebody for them to buy it/use it are three data points that apply in every facet of business, and unfortunately too little time is spent finding that out.
